Agency logo branding
Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife (2023-2024)

Logo re-design
The new logo closely mirrors the old one in terms of overall structure, but it offers significant improvements in accessibility, particularly for print applications. While the updates are subtle, the key differences include:
-
Thickened Sky Lines: The sky lines have been reinforced to enhance the visibility of the mountain shape, which is formed through negative space. The previous logo often faced issues with the mountain being too faint due to the thin sky lines.
-
Eliminated White Borders Around the Animals: The white border around the animals has been removed to achieve a sharper, cleaner appearance.
-
Refined Animal Shapes: The animal shapes have been subtly enhanced, with the deer now featuring more defined contours, including a refined rear, and the crab shape smoothed for greater clarity.
-
Enlarged Logotypes: All the logotypes have been scaled up to improve legibility and impact.
The redesign process took several months of rigorous testing across both digital and print mediums, including various paper sizes. I conducted thorough evaluations to determine the minimum size requirements for all logo variations and ensured the precise CMYK, RGB, and PMS color specifications were established. These findings have been incorporated into our agency's style guide to ensure consistent and accurate application of the logos and colors across all platforms and materials.

I created an animated version of the logo using Adobe After Effects and developed it into a Motion Graphics Template (MOGRT) for Adobe Premiere Pro. This template serves as the video’s opening and closing sequence, enhancing the overall branding.

Video templates and Adobe graphic library
In addition to the logo opening template, I developed additional agency-themed templates for teams, including lower-thirds, callout text, and transitions. To streamline quick video editing projects, I also designed a comprehensive Adobe Express video template, enabling teams to effortlessly incorporate onscreen elements into their projects.
WA DEI Empowerment Conference Logo Guide
Washington State Department of Natural Resources (2022)
The logo was designed and finalized in 2022. My role involved creating the complete set of logo variations and developing the corresponding logo guidebook. The graphic elements from this project are now widely used on OFM's website and in the conference meeting emails.
